Silver Surfers drop in sessions
Kingston Library, in Fairfield Road, is opening its doors on two Wednesdays for Silver Surfer's drop in sessions. The sessions at 10am - 11.30am is on Wednesday 1 December. Fees are just £1.50 per visit and there will be support and assistance available from a qualified trainer.

It's never too late to learn!
Two libraries are offering the popular four week course called 'It's never too late to learn'. The course is suitable for complete beginners and will be taught either on desktop computers. It covers the basics of using a mouse and keyboard, basic word processing, such as creating a document, printing, saving and editing, and basic Internet, such as visiting named websites and using a search engine. New Malden Library is running some great activities for children during the half term break:
Monday 25 October, 2.30 - 4pm, Norman Knights and Castles (BBC Hands on History)
Make a Norman shield and helmet or a model castle. A family craft activity for children aged 7 to 12 with an adult to help. Tickets cost £1.50 per child (adults go free!) available from the library from Saturday 9 October.

As part of 'Black History Month', this loud and fun workshop will teach the basics of African drumming. Suitable for families with children aged 8 - 16. Free event but booking essential, book at the library from Saturday 9 October. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Courses: Managing Files and Folders
Old Malden Library is running a computer class to help you organise your files and folders on your PC. This course is suitable for people with some knowledge of using the computer and saving files. It concentrates on getting the student used to using Windows Explorer to create folders, move files, copy files, delete & rename files and folders and also looks at file extensions and the different views (such as details, thumbnails etc).
