Introduction to the Internet

Thursday January 2, 10-12 midday,  Cost £1.50

Tudor Drive Library is running a course on how to use the internet.  The session covers  what is available via the Internet and the basic features of Internet Explorer.  You will learn how to open a website if you know the address, and how to use a search engine to search for information when you do not know where to start.  Learners should be able to use a keyboard and mouse to gain full benefit from the course.  To book a place call in to the library in Tudor Drive, Kingston, or email paul.millar@rbk.kingston.gov.uk

Tudor Drive Library is running a fast-paced Excel taster course on Friday 28 January 9.45-11.45 am. Some experience of Microsoft products such as Word is required. Learn about spreadsheets at the library

New Malden Library is running a beginners Excel course on Tuesdays 18 and 25 January 2 - 4pm. This two-part course will tell you all you need to know to get to grips with this spreadsheet software. Create and edit spreadsheets, add formulae, charts and more. Tickets £6 to cover both sessions.

It's never too late to learn

Old Malden Library is running a four week computer course for beginners called "It's never too late to learn".  The course will be running from Thursday 13 January, 10 - 12pm until Thursday 3 February (4 weeks). Cost: £24. It will cover the basics of using the computer, including how to use the mouse & keyboard, basic word processing and using the Internet. Surbiton Library is running an internet course for beginners on Wednesday 12, 19, and 26 January 9.45-11.45 am.  This three week course is an introduction to using the Internet covering searching, shopping and accessing services online.
